one reported issue on immigration forums is that while applying for OCI, they are asking for court order for the name change (if there is no other proof of name change). in some naturalization cases where oath not taken in court, name change certificate/order is not given. so this could be a issue but can be resolved by contacting the court to give the name change document. | ||

U have to change in all places SSN, DL, Employer, credit cards etc. Ika India lo akkada alias anedhi vaadu thaaru. So andhukani parledhu Surname change is pretty common lo women after marriage kathaa. So pissa lite. Basic procedure is same for anything No Signature | ||

During the us citizenship process, we can change the name or surname. Any one changed the names? If so what is the impact? Do we have to change every where or we just need to keep the new citizenship card with the name change? what happens with nri bank accounts (name change needed there also)? pl post your experiences and your suggestion on name change. tia |
