Rahul lanti vallanu chepputho kottali ilanti matalu matladinaduku. If he has ANYTHING that incriminates MODI, then he should NOT USE it to BLACKMAIL, he should make sure it comes to light and MODI gets punished. I ALWAYS hated people who say, I have proofs against their opponents, but don't divulge the details. Government should make it PUNISHABLE for hiding the truth and saving the culprits. |

PM terrified about what I know: Rahul Makes graft charge, offers no details Rahul Gandhi during a press meet outside Parliament in New Delhi on Wednesday. PTI Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday claimed he had proof of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s corruption. “The prime minister is personally terrified with the information that I have, that we have with us. It is about personal corruption of the prime minister and we have detailed information that is going to explode his balloon,” he said at a press conference, where he was flanked by leaders of several Opposition parties. He refused to give any details, saying he would do so only in the Lok Sabha. Rahul also said the government did not want this information to be made public, and was therefore blocking the Opposition from speaking in Parliament. Joint Opposition Trinamool Congress leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay, CPM leader P Karunakaran, NCP’s Tariq Anwar, also present at the press meet, demanded that Rahul be allowed to initiate the debate on demonetisation, repeatedly stalled in the Lok Sabha. Leaders of the Congress and other Opposition parties were tight-lipped about what Rahul had up his sleeve, but Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused him of playing a “friendly match” with the BJP. “If Rahul Gandhi actually has papers on Modiji’s personal involvement in corruption, then why doesn’t he expose it outside Parliament?” wondered Kejriwal, who had recently accused Modi of receiving a bribe of Rs 25 crore, during his tenure as Gujarat chief minister, from a Aditya Birla Group company. HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said Rahul was insisting on speaking in the House as he wanted Parliamentary immunity for the “baseless” charges he wants to make against Modi. BJD Lok Sabha member Pinaki Misra also said Rahul was looking for Parliamentary immunity to escape being sued in courts. Rumour mills in overdrive Rahul Gandhi’s press conference triggered rumours about the disclosures he plans in the House. The Supreme Court had recently refused to entertain a petition demanding probe into the Sahara/Birla diaries, saying, “It is only insinuation.” The petitioners had said the diaries suggest Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his capacity as Gujarat chief minister, had been paid a bribe. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said Rahul was talking out of “frustration” after a sting had caught Congress functionaries exchanging scrapped notes for a commission. No Signature |
