I spoke with some relative over the weekend. She used to lend money around 20 lakhs for people in her village and town. in her own words --She was able to convert money by using some of the village people. she is scared that govt might notice why suddenly amount is deposited in some accounts which has no prior money like that --Queues are inconvenient but people are not complaining a lot. she went 3 to 4 times and never heard anybody complaining except herself. True testimony for respect and belief on Modi. --Contrary to popular belief, all younger generation irrespective of class rural, social, money status know all details about retail banking and are heavily participating in it. --This exercise touched everybody in india as such people who dont know modi also now knows about him. Modi became more popular for good or bad --Dont know for out of jealousy that big guys are getting stinged or patriotism, lower sections are fully appreciating the move even though hardships fell on them --2000 note ki evaud change ivvataledhu. people cant go to a hotel and/or shops. Govt should ahve planned more on this. --One of the loaner dumped back 8 lakhs suddenly saying sorry. To convert, it took long time. She is worried that other loaner will dump rest of debt too :-) right before deadline. Highlight --She is planning to deposit money into postoffice at 0.80Ps interest rather than loan to provate at 1.30-1.50.
