if you take a bottle and pour it in zero gravity, it will be spherical. best example if water droplets are falling from a tall building on to the ground, they will be spherical due to weightless ness (assuming there is no air) all planets were molten liquids when they formed. so they are round | ||

as the size of the particles that get tangled together to form a planet increases, the space surrounding it pushes them inward, remember gravity is not a pull(like newtonian theory) but more like a push(einstien's theory) from the curved space around the heavy objects, as space is not a two dimensional figure, its push is towards the center of the heavy object from all sides and it forces the object to be spherical. if the object spins faster, the chances are that the sphere is bulged at the center(relative to the spinning direction), as the particles farthest try to shoot off in right angles to the motion of the spin. the smaller the planet, the rounder it usually is, the larger and greater the speed, the more bulged it is. | ||

Also, watched this Sunitha Williams video recently. Why are we not seeing any satellites around the earth? When diff country launch their satellites where do they go or fit in space?
