just FYI Indian hockey federation was governing body for field hockey in India , formed in 1928. But in 2008 IHF was suspended by IOA(Indian Olympic Association) because of the bribery case againt federation general secretary Kandaswamy Jothikumaran where he was accused of accepted bribe for selecting certain player in Indian hockey team. So same year Hockey India(HI) was formed to govern field hockey in India. In the year 2011, IHF and HI signed an agreement leading up to the formation of a joint executive board which shall perform the function of National sports federation for field hockey. | ||
