As a follow up to the Executive Action announced in Nov 2014---- Federal Govt appointed tons of lawyers - spent countless manhours to fight for DACA/DAPA in Texas courts initially and then in the Supreme Court.... But for Legal Immi related issues - when USCIS released that rule, that is not even worth the paper it's written on - which means doing the opposite of what the executive action said. But O's administration did not even make a comment, let alone spending countless manhours to fight it in courts. They couldn't pass instructions to their own department (DHS/USCIS) to mend their ways and implement Executive Order properly... | ||

Please don't take it that - I am against his actions on illegals(DREAMERS/DAPA/DACA, etc). 1M vs 100K or so illegal vs legal for H4 EAD - it went back and forth for 5-6 years before being an official rule. Not all H4 EADs are eligible. Only a percentage... But these 1M got it almost immediately. So if you want to compare apples to oranges - you are free to do so. If you want to say that his action in 2012 was trivial - you are free to do so. | ||

why do you say that sir? 2012 lo - he did a masterstroke - issued 1 million EADs to illegals with the stroke of a single signature....this is while HR3012 was lapsing/expiring due to Senate Hold. That increased the work load of USCIS drastically... He got a second term... So he didn't lose anything....except may be reputation...which for what he is, doesn't care... | ||

You're right - but the spill-overs have dried up for 2 years now... and the chances of spill-overs increasing in the future are nill. Nope, it was a simple bill... according to that bill (if I remember correctly) even the per country removal is not immediately 100%... they slowly lift that restriction....initially some 50-60% then increase it every year...and make it 100% FIFO over a number of years. (I don't remember the exact percentages, etc) It was a simple and blind "opposition" by senator "gaddi"ly (please translate for his name) | ||

Nope, sir. It's an issue that Congress has to fix. Employment Based GC lo per country limit - when the per country limit doesn't apply for H1B/L1 or any other visas - is causing a huge bottleneck. In Nov, 2011 - House passed HR 3012 that got 389 Yes, 15 No votes. That bill was to remove per country limits in the Employment Based GC category. That did not increase any GC numbers. That speaks volumes about how bipartisan the support was for that bill. But it was kept on hold in the Senate and until it expired....but O didn't do anything. He didn't even push for that to be introduced...as that is the logical thing to do. But he is beyond logic...he is pure vote bank politician like INC back home. So - saying that it is the govt's inefficiency that is causing the GC bottlenecks, and the huge pain - is wrong. And HRC ignoring any and every question related to the plight of legal immis but fighting diligently for only illegals is outrageously immoral. But if we're beyond Morals and only about Votes - she may think she is on the right track. But she is not.
