There is an episode about Public defenders in Last week tonight show, if anyone is interested watch it on YT... Basically in US, every PD has about 2 minutes to work on each case and most of the cases would be from black community because they cannot afford to pay the legal fee and because PDs don't have time to investigate and fight the case they simply ask accused to accept the plea bargain even if they are innocent...once they have a record against them, they become frequent targets... | ||
