Why this venom? Read the English reports by wire, indiatoday, etc. Any unbiased source points to Karnatakas fault in not maintaining water resources properly. Coming to Kaveri, it is the river that Tamils have used for 1000s of years to cultivate. How fair is it to put barriers in them getting rightful source of water just because Karnataka has planned water needs badly. TN has also proven the desperate need for water on their side. What is this about owning water? Anyone in the way that Kaveri runs has right to that water. Or any major interstate river is not one or the others. How can any Telugu say that considering the problems resource use has caused between Telugus? Today, Kannadigas are being looked at as racist bigots and Bangalore has lost its sheen. All this due to Kannadiga community that even Bangaloreans of yore are calling instate migrants. Kannadigas forget that like many big cities, Bangalore's rise to global fame is the sweat of migrants. Just like Madras had so much Telugu handwork. Everyone is praising the control TN govt has had in taking care of Kannadigas. Beating up lone old men, beating up lone young men, going in hundreds and burning Tamilian owned businesses is what is happening in Karnataka. These racist criminals started attacking innocent Tamils for a court verdict. How much will these people be able to recover? Insurance might bring some money for building or buses, but what about all the goods in them. Who are the racist terrorists? Those that are hurting innocent public en masse or those that are standing guard and escorting the next state people safely in and out? If anything, Karnataka needs to start worrying about its goons, also known as terrorists to non-Kannadigas. Terrible image of Bangalore has been set in front of the world stage. No thank you Kannadigas, for ruining the status of Bangalore - the silicon valley of India. A Bangalore that all of India, especially all of South India, worked hard on. | ||

that's what they did due to few bad incidents happening in TN over kannadigas and those videos circulated on whatsapp/facebook awakened the sleeping animal in Kannadigas 30-40% of bangalore population is tamils. i didn't find even a single person giving moral support to karnataka eventhough they very well know that it could lead to water shortage to bangalore(themselves) | ||

ok fine but why should karnataka bear the pain. karnataka's lands submerged in the dam and major share of water enjoyed by TN how can this be justified? TN should build it's own dams and store water for their usage. This year TN had sufficient rains. They had a good 1st crop and the surplus water should have benn stored by them and used for 2nd crop | ||

The farmers in Tamil nadu are in a good position now. Due to good rainfall in TN, they had a good first crop. Now they are demanding water for the 2nd crop. On the otherside, Karnataka didn't release water to their own farmers due to shortage of rainfall in the catchments of the dam. Drinking water shortage is expected for the major cities like bangalore,mysore and mandya. In such a situation how could TN go to court for water? they have no moral. Law is a joke | ||
