One way or the other, we are bearing the costs for poor/under-insured/uninsured. Currently, Hospitals have no choice but to treat all. Any costs incurred by hospitals on under-insured/uninsured will be passed on to insured and able patients. So, your visit cost is going up and up year over year causing your insurance cost to go up. Rising medical costs are due to stupid libel laws and court system. there should be a reform to it. thats the reason medical care is so high as doctors and hospitals pay extraneous amount for insurance to protect themselves. an example this week i read in MSN that target was asked to pay 20 Million to a lady because there was needle in the parking lot which was picket up by her daughter and she got a scratch. it was not placed by target employee. what do you say to that. UK was wost suffered in single payer system. you know what happens in that system right. if you have a heart attack and need bipass surgery, you have to wait for some govt employee to put your case in the order. Obama care failure is linked to these how? At least he tried, so he gets some credit? American Health Care system cannot sustain current model even without Obama Care. It is destined to fail either way. Health Care is a universal need that should be offered to all citizens of the country.
