ide program lo bhagamgaa maaku (ante Hyderabad Ranji team ki) Bharat Arun bowling coach and Badrinath Team captain gaa vasthunnaru  there are couple of positives, it has extended careers of people like Amol Mazumdar, I think he played for Assam, Andhra after his career was shut in Mumbai in age bar quota OTOH, there are smaller teams, meaning lesser talented teams, so they get the benefit of working with experienced and senior Ranji players the flip side is, there will be some folks who miss out their spot in the team and start thinking, manake team lo dikku ledu..veedu outside import..retire avvalsina musalodu mana meeda esi rudduthunnar types.. Overall I like the flexibility of playing going around the country..this will help them understand the culture also..not just playing.. | ||

rajan level knowledge ledgu gaani i think it is a fair process its not like rohit sharma suddenly wants to play for andhra team and they welcome with open arms kadha usually akkada playing 11 cut cheyyani wallu try at other places and they do face some hurdles there too anukuntunnaa how many state associations, coaches are there where winning a championship is their immediate goal for next 1-2 yrs and looking for transfer gems | ||

Good or bad the zonal system gave opportunity to different regions. My problem is that the politicians and the mafias of Mumbai, Delhi etc will control the selection process. We are not at a point where we can expect transparency in the process. In a vast country like ours, we need some geographic representations....IPL is the first to break the zonal and regional barriers. | ||

Current setup The selection committee consists of 5 members and a convenor. Only the 5 members of the selection committee have voting rights on team selection. The convenor is the Secretary, BCCI for the senior selection team and Jr. Secretary for junior selection team. The 5 members in the selection committee are selected the 5 cricket zones – North Zone, Central Zone, West Zone, East Zone, South Zone. One of the 5 members is selected by BCCI as the Chairman of the selection committee. The Captain and Coach are invited to the selection committee meetings to present their opinions on team players though the captain and coach don't have voting rights in team selection. | ||
