Income tax exemption for 5 years- companies have to pay income tax only on the profits..most of the big units will take atleast 2 years to start production and few more years to actually earn profits Excise ,sales tax ad other duties- companies have to pay these taxes on any goods that is manufactures and sold, irrespective of their profits.This is the major incentive every company wants and I think after GST it is not possible. | ||

I think there is/used to be 100% income tax exemption for new units for period of 5 years 100% Excise duty exemption for a period of 5 years- this is invalid now due to the introduction of GST BTW the tax exemptions are not same in all Specials Category states.Some states have not got any tax exemptions,but other subsidies pls check this doc for details of grants,subsidies and tax exemptions provided for special category states http://dipp.nic.in/English/questions/20032013/ru2489.pdf | ||
