Cinema is individual's choice.... SO I wont contradict your opinion.... EVen I agree tht Bad guys shuld be eliminated... I dont have a problem or confusion on Y Bad guys got killed..... In my view, we go to a movie to get entertained, be it violence, comedy, drama etc., we want something to be presented in such a way tht we feel like it worth watching... First half was dealt so creatively nd made me feel like worth watching..... Similarly climax (in this case last 30 mins) shuld have dealt in a such way tht impresses audience.... Everybody knows Good Prevails over Bad in movies.... We want to see it in a way tht we wont feel De javu .... | ||

Copying from my post in earlier thread. I disagree on the rating for climax Climax was true to the spirit of the movie which is "be true to the people". It might not resonate with people who are used to seeing twists and turns in the movies and negative shaded heroes, but the characters in this movie are all black and white. The good guys do good things and baddies do not deviate. There isn't any single character with deviousness or plot twists Mohan Lal's character is established as a do gooder whose heart breaks if he doesn't do the right thing NTR is a (somewhat overboard) zealous defender of natural beauty Both of them have made sacrifices in life and realize that the weeds have to be eliminated, if they have to stay true to the people. It's not overboard I think it helps commercially also. The majority of audiences like to see the bad guy dead than being reformed/left alone. He is a big let down only coz of the last 30 mins.... I think got tired of taking care of every detail till end nd he didnt had any energy to take care while wrapping up the story... His direction is First half can be appreciated greatly.... He had total clarity on Hero's character in the first half.... only after jong in JG he lost clarity on how the Hero reacts... | ||

Story: If Sarkar was RGVs version of God Father.... JG is Koratal's version of Sarkar.... Characters: Satyam (Mohanlal) / Sarkar: Fights with anyone to help the suffering... Even politicians and powerful businessmen are afraid of him First son: Wants to abuse his Dad's power for his personal benefits nd jons hands with villans Second son (NTR): Agrees with Dad nd in the end takes charge of wat Dad does... Conflict: Villan has a business proposal tht effects poor which Sarkar (Satyam) opposes nd the proposal gets stalled which the Villan can implement only by eliminating Satyam (Sarkar) Murder Attempt: Villan tries to kill Sarker (Satyam) but fails nd story dynamics change from this point Having all the comparisons JG's First half shows the director's brilliance in directing a movie.... Its not a regular format.... But takes u to the next level of satisfaction while watching.. Second half starting episodes meet the graph where First half has stopped... but slowly nd slowly the graph goes down but still has good moments... Problem starts from Kajal's song.... this song was total unnecessary... neither raises the tempo nor gives any entertainment..... From this song till the climax the movie is a major let down... Mohanlal did not had much to deliver but suits the character like wat Amitabh did to Sarkar... NTR should be greatly appreciated for accepting this role.... In the first half he enacts to the 'T'.... GREAT PERFORMANCE..... The fact tht he chose this role proves tht she is a changed man nd going in the direction of success.... NTR is tring to change his dancing style nd look stylish.... he hasn't yet acheived wat AA acheived in dancing... but he reaching there.... In one of the situations Saikumar says abt NTR as "BALANCED BUT DANGEROUS" ..... NTR makes us believe tht this statement is absolutely true... My rating: First Half: 4/5 Second Half till 30 mins to climax: 3/5 Climax: 0.5/5 I think reviews on first were not favorable coz of the last 30 mins.... Bottom line... Kudos to NTR...... |
