basically 1st half is like Maa TV telugu serial....Brahmotsavam ki babu.... 2nd half is let down...director got so much confused and did not know how to move forward.. Basically screenplay killed the movie... | ||

First of all there is nothing new in the movie. It is a mix of Sarkar+godfather+prasthanam...But very badly slow paced executed kichidi.... Story - Its a rehash of Sarkar....they have inserted environment awareness which does not have anything to do with the story...There are a lot scenes dint make sense at all..like Mohanlal sitting in all party meeting....and all parties agree but just because mohanlal doesn't agree ...so Chief minister can not do anything....I have no idea how Mohanlal can sit in a high level all party meeting ....also no idea what is the heroines role in the movie.... Screenplay - very badly executed by the director....you can see most confused screenplay....they could not decide to make a intense drama like Sarkar ...or make a commercial movie ...or a message oriented movie....ultimately the confusion taken over and they made a very pale movie that creates no interest...Also the very slow narration kills the common movie goer interest....second half is very bad including climax...basically there was no proper direction for the movie to freely flow... Hero - As usual NTR excells in some scenes....most of the time the hero does not have much to do ..very less screen presense in 1st half and heroic action sequnces in 2nd half....NTR is kust OK....There no much scope to do anything different... Heroines - Pure Jaga Bokka....Except Kajal in item song... Side characters - All of them....wasted....neither their characters are established properly nor they have anythoing interesting to so in the move...Mohanlal got a big chunk of the movie time but could not make a great impact... Music - background music is a pure rehash of Yevadu...2 songs are good...rest lite... Overall - 2.75 |
