Agreed. Media can be encouraged to continue discussions and debates. It should include more participation of baloch people though. Obviously there will be many number of suffered families. They can be brought to debates and stories can be played frequently in all the prime time reports. | ||

Annai, In case of war with China - I highly doubt if US will take our side. US will silently sell us weapons and more weapons...and may issue some empty statements...but I don't think they'll side with us. Again, this is my personal opinion. So what we're doing (with US now) is to strengthen ourselves is what I believe. We may not start with "We will win" in case of a war with China. But at least, with improved capabilities we may be in a position where we can say "We have minimum deterrance, we can at least give a fight". | ||

Yes, that's the video. So this should steer us clear of the line of thinking that says "Talking about Baloch is a reactionary measure"... For one, I don't think this is a reactionary measure. All these years - I always used to think like this: "Why is Pak so willing and so daring to bring up Kashmir issue. Why is it that no Indian politician even questions POK? Does it mean people of POK are happy that they are under POK rule? But that's not the case. As according to PAK, POK is autonomous region with its own government at least on paper. So why is India not bringing up POK?" etc etc etc... Finally these questions of mine were answered this month when first Rajnath and then Modi (essentially this government) started talking in a firm way - saying Jammu & Kashmir was never and will never be a discussion point between India and Pak. The discussion will only be about POK and Gilgit, etc. To add icing on the cake, Dhoval saab's inputs of "Baloch" stick measure also came to the forefront of our attack strategies. So, I do not think there is madness here. There may not be a "defined" method yet...or may be the "method" is Work in Progress. But certainly no madness can be seen here, at least not in my perspective. | ||

We don't know for sure. Even if there is "some method" to this approach - it'll take decades for us to see results. But, I think this has a lot to do with our current NSA. Modi hand picked him to be our NSA...and good to see that he is taking inputs from his handpick and also putting them in action.
