Both library and 1 crore can be done if u want to raise the bar. Creates better competition. Also, Sindhu's medal is more than a top ranker. There's a top ranker in every exam, u don't have an olympic Medalist coming up every time Some things don't change. the rest are useless | ||

of course, if gopi got 100 crores, you would have 1000's of kids fighting to get into Gopichand or other badminton academies in India True. Gopi's success is marvelous, but as in with all management, u need to have redundancy. Unfortunately, there is no redundancy with gopi's academy, repu emanna aite, everything goes away with him But you incentivize at player level and generate interest at grass roots, that helps more. Basically, this medal could be a Kapil Dev winning world cup moment if properly utilized. I might be exaggerating but you get the point Some things don't change. the rest are useless | ||

every district should have such an academy many talented people in the rural area are hidden. they will start coming out if there is available of facilites nearby. only few people like sindhu can afford to go to hyd | ||

this is more meaningful than giving it all to an individual 1 academy - more sportpersons- more achievements- at other events also other than olympics, world championships etc gopi academy ki govt help cheyyatam vallane kadha ..we see an army of players now if they had given 100 crores to gopi at that time, would it make any difference? | ||

Incentives work better at Individual level. So, u spend money on all the infrastructure, and let's say u have a world class academy in Hyd/Vizag wherever, if talented sports persons don't join the sport, it's all a waste. The facilities will be rotten away and discarded like chinese olympic stadiums Some things don't change. the rest are useless | ||

what is the point of the cash awards ? isnt it better if they use it for infrastructure so more athletes will be helped. spend cash before sending to olympics not after winning | ||
