By the way, a little trivia about Adyar Cancer institute..... It was founded by Dr Mutthulakshmi Reddy.Muthulakshmi had many firsts to her recognition. She was the first female student to be admitted into a men's college, the first woman House Surgeon in the Government Maternity and Ophthalmic Hospital, the first woman legislator in British India, the first Chairperson of the State Social Welfare Advisory Board, the first woman Deputy President of the Legislative Council, and the first Alderwoman of the Madras Corporation Avvai Home. .. She is the chairperson of Adyar Cancer Institute....one of the prime institute for cancer treatment in India itself..... Joined the institute in 1951 and has been serving there ever since.... Has been receipent of magasasay award, Padma sri, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan She is born in the family of two nobel laureates cv Raman and chandrasekhar....
