Yet another example of the result of an intimated HC: It refused to accept a case twice but SC accepted it and issued notices. http://www.greatandhra.com/politics/gossip/sc-shocker-to-kcr -on-defecting-mlas-76424.html

Vishvak:

Going by the same logic is SC soft on AAP govt.? just curious

Although I don't follow that much, I don't think so. For one thing, AAP government different have laws and order under their control. Moreover, SC judges are way too powerful when compared to state ministers in Delhi, I don't think they have reason to be soft.

Telangana is a full state. Law and order kooda undi. And in general, ministers in such a state wield more power than HC judges.

Inquisitive:

HC is somewhat soft on TS government because:
1. Although common to both states, HC is located in TS and all judges live in TS. Kuthuru drivers license kaavalanna, koduku accident lo involve ayina, TS government is the one that they go to.

HC is somewhat soft on TS government because:
1. Although common to both states, HC is located in TS and all judges live in TS. Kuthuru drivers license kaavalanna, koduku accident lo involve ayina, TS government is the one that they go to.
2. TRS party, their affiliate advocates, and even the govt. Advocate General and Additional AGs have all mounted an attack on the HC and are using intimidatory tactics.

SC, on the other hand, has no fear, it doesn't hesitate to slap the TS govt. whenever they deserve it.

However, TRS doesn't cry foul when SC rules against them but when they get an unfavourable order from HC, they blow it out of proportion and attribute motives. They intelligently don't mention names of the judges presiding the key cases. Generally govt. meeda important cases lo bench ni CJ head chestadu. If you notice the names, you'll see K J Sengupta, Dilip Bhonsale etc. Always non-Telugus are CJs. But TRS projects as if Andhra judges are doing it.
If the judgements were really wrong, the govt. should have a high rate of success when it appeals to the SC. But the fact is that SC is almost always ruling against the govt. in appeal cases.

Will TRS dare to demand for a separate SC? Given that they are quietly tolerating the slaps from SC, they probably won't...
