Most people will not live in Center of Chennai..most of them in suburbs. What I meant is it is more beneficial if some other place is developed much inside the state rather than just on the border of the state | ||

There are lot of factories being setup outside SriCity SEZ including Hero motors. Isuzu is inside SEZ. Kia if it comes up it will be setup like hero motors neighboring SriCity. Basically govt is getting the auto ecosystem setup in that area inside the SEZ and surrounding SEZ. Selling points are near to Chennai and KP port. A disease called KCR infected TELUGUs.. I know..but still many catorgories are not notified to handle through Krishnapatnam. AFAIK Iron ore,coal,LNG ,fertilizers,granite ,edible oil,newsprint etc are the major cargo handled. I don't how much of these products are imported -exported by units in Sricity ! | ||

But being near to Chennai AP is not gaining much The units in SEZ pay no tax of any kind to state or central govt Being 10 kms to TN border and 50 km to Chennai 90% of workers in these units live in Chennai and commute to work daily (so income is spent elsewhere) Chennai Airport and Chennai sea ports are very near and most activity is carried through them If Govt succeeds in developing another place much inside AP and attracting investment,it would generate much economic and employment activity inside the state | ||
