Before moving to Bay Area you have to consider few more factors 1. If you are married and your spouse is working in Dallas then she might to have get another job (kind of obvious thing to say) 2. California has AMT. If you are single and make more than 200k or if you are married and make more than 250k...you will have to shell out few thousand dollars more on taxes. 3. California has highest state tax compared to other states (Dallas lo idhi ledhu ) 4. Rents are skyrocketing 5. For a decent home in good neighborhood you might have to spend 900k atleast and add 1.1% property tax to it. These are some of the things you have to consider | ||
