The problem is the deliberate media hype being created to build him up as some sort of an icon like comerade Krishna Kanhaiya of the JNU. When we were in J&K 2000- 05, there were some 3500 terrorists in J&K. 60 % were foreigners- Punjabis and Pathans. Whatsoever number we killed each year( and in 2001 we had killed over 2000)Pak would infiltrate that many more. Then we built the LC Fence and reduced the level of infiltration by 70-80%. All arms and ammunition inflow was stopped. Today THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TERRORISTS IN J&K IS DOWN TO JUST 179.Militarily we have broken their back. Yet the J&K problem has been given a fresh lease of Life by a foreign inspired pro- seperatist movement on our Campuses. Leading the charge was Kanhiya of the JNU. Then came Hyderabad and Jadahvpur students doing war dances with Kashmiri sepratist students who behaved as if they owned this country.Deliberate encouragement and incitement was given to the people of J&K that the entire leftst- liberals of India were with them and keen to ENCOURAGE them to break away from INDIA. This has given fillip to stone pelting on the SF, then a deliberate program to remove our bunkers guarding the Highways. this was followed by costly attack on the highways to kill large nos of SF. And now an impression of defeat and anarchy is being created.Defeat at the hands of 179 terrorists? the next step would be to remove AFSPA, make the SF defunct and useless and create a climate of collapse in J&K. Some sold out Indian politicians will then stand with their tongues hanging out to claim their noble peace prizes for breaking up our country. |
