Actually Delhi Govt has passed a bill (exempting parliamentary Secretaries from 'office of profit') and sent to President for approval (as it is U and can not make it own laws and needs president's approval).They have sent it long time back and was pending with president.Mean time AAP has already appointed 21 parliamentary secs . Now president as rejected the bill and returned back to Delhi Govt.In this context the 21 MLAs MAY face disqualification | ||

Complaint was filed against AAP legislative members for violating Delhi state Law. I don't know if Telangana has a similar office of profit law. If there is, then someone has to file the complaint with EC. | ||

I read that the Election Commission of India is going to disqualify many (21?) Delhi MLAs for holding the post of parliamentary secretaries (an office of profit). Can we safely assume that the same ECI would disqualify 6 (or more?) TRS MLAs for holding the same parliamentary secretary posts for a few months during their current term? If not, why not? Also, KCR made an MLA the Chairman of TSRTC, and another MLA the Vice-Chairman of Telangana Drinking Water Supply Corporation. Both were accorded cabinet rank.
