Yes,thats what I said..as Mumbai port has pharma handling facilities,they are exporting through it and as they are using Mumbai port,they may have lobbied for better and faster connectivity.Where as bandar port as no pharma handling facilities I am not batting for any one..but just provided some inputs for the possible reasons. If you ask my opinion India should have highway system like the US-Interstate routes thought the country for faster movement of people,material,machines and resources  | ||

That was for 2013 news and still max exports are done through Mumbai Port Cos Only Vizag (in 2015) and Mumbai port are permitted to handle pharma exports as necessary Customs and Drug export clearances are processed through these ports | ||

Maharashtra is set to get Rs 95,000 crore port related projects under Centre’s ambitious port and port-led development programme. Addressing a Video-Link Press Conference of Coastal States from Mumbai today, the Union Minister for Shipping, Nitin Gadkari said the mega projects include two expressways connecting Ahmedabad–Mumbai industrial corridor and the Sanathnagar Industrial cluster near Hyderabad with the Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) in Navi Mumbai. Gadkari said while the Ahmedabad Expressway project would cost Rs 18,000 crores, the Hyderabad – Mumbai project is likely to be implemented at Rs 22,000 crores cost.
