naa batch lo antha IIT/BITs/NIT ppl ye...motam CSE/ECE batch..! with in 1 year, I started co-ordinating with France Bull team/ Austin Security team to get the requirements. AIX6.1 release lo encrypted file system vuntadi major feature..Major part of it was done by me .. with in 2 years I became lead...NIT trichy college topper & gold medalist ni itcharu naa kinda work cheyyataniki... morning 8 to evening 5 daka putty session open chesi coding kummesedi..she is extra ordinary talented but corporate coding standards levu ani chala issues face chesa...college level coding style vundedi...I was her mentor so obviously idi expected...my mentor was good..so I did good..I was a bad mentor..so she got all problems.. if they r not performing up to their skill, it is the problem with mentor... | ||

This is what I will do - - First and the foremost make him comfortable.. i understand ur background blah blah blah... i would expect you to learn the process first, then we can get in to the technical stuff... dnt try to jump into everything, just follow my lead... etc etc - give me a process overview.. let him understand the IT would... what is change management or what is cutover or what is approval bongu boshaana nerpinchi - next assal manam client deggara em peektunnam... what is the business process, vaadu soda ammutaada, drugs ammutada cheppi, vaadi business process meeda idea annamaata... without process knowledge no matter how strong ur technically, pedda waste na M ga migilipotaadu - Then technical ga start assigning small bugs, low priority projects etc etc.. constant follow up (without micro management) chesi confidence improve chesi, please keep me posted on issues or concerns ani cheppi atla atla manage cheyyale... All this will take few weeks... antha time ledu ante em cheyyalem ani naa idi... To me the most important thing is make the resource realize that u believe in him/her and ur always there for them when they need u... this will boost their confidence and give the reason to perform... start with small bugs ..so they will learn the processes involved and get knowledge on applicaiton... oka 2-3 months ila work seyisthe, own ga bugs fix chese range ki vastharu..then slowly assign project tasks... I worked India as a fresher..within 1 year, I was handling projects alone!! gathering reqs/design/dev/testing/supporting during FVT/UPT anni ! | ||
