Farmers are asking 25 Lakhs based on 2013 land acquisition act 4 times the value of the land. So where did u get the 3 times rule TDP for life. Nationalism does nothing but teach you to hate people you never met and to take pride in accomplishments you had not part in. | ||

That's what I am saying the land value in Ongole will not be the same as in WG They can demand 50 lakhs too..but Govt should give 3 X the market value and Not 5 lakhs or 25 lakhs I know how these protests works..there will be some political brokers who promise that they will get the compensation increased above certain amount and demand % per acre from the farmers. One of my relative's house got notice for acquisition under a irrigation project few yrs back.The house and land was not ore than 10 lakhs value.But some political brokers entered the scene and enacted same drama and got 1 crore compensation for 10 lakh house and took 30% commission ..so did with rest of the villagers | ||

It is just normal and common when acquiring land for projects Some people are instigated by by political forces,brokers and middle men to demand more compensation.Land owners have right to demand fair value for their property. In this case already 27 villages have been acquired and 4 villages are demanding more rate for their land and not opposing land acquisition Don't come to conclusion that the land value is high in those areas and govt is paying peanuts (ofcourse, Govt should pay more cos it is 'Compensation' and not sale of land) Just check how much the Govt paid for VANPIC and Brahmini Steels Land acquisition..Not more than 2 lakhs ! | ||
