If you know how NPAs are recognised or provisioned, you would not make such a statement. Earlier the banks, under the guise of restructuring etc would not classify them as NPAs. In fact by repeating what Swamy keeps saying that rajan created NPAs and he drove SMEs down etc, you are letting UPA go scot free as the NPAs arose during the UPA regime but were just recognised. All these power sector loans, infra loans, real estate companies were funded during that regime. By drinking the same Kool Aid you are letting the big business houses act innocent. Rajan can be definitely be replaced, probably by someone good too but if any crackdown on big business defaulters happen, it will be their end game. Bank depositors were finally getting real +ve interest rates and not subsiding loan defaulters by artificially low savings rates for savers. But now it will back to the bad old days were middle class savers would be screwed to fund the depostiros | ||
