I get audio books from library.. daily to and fro to office or anywhere I go, the book keeps running the BG just like music.. because of the suspense levels of the book, I am more inclined to drive for longer time.i am more patiently waiting at signals.. going out for Anything wife says without delay.. feel like not coming back to home in the eagerness to know what happens next... lol.. | ||

for me I did not see a nook as I own two kindles.. point is book versus device.. kindle took over now for me.. in the worst case - if I don't have a kindle device on me.. I can still use other two ipads at home and read the books from kindle app.. | ||

the concept of library/study - beautiful cabinets with books lined up is dying.. used to me one of my dreams - having wall to wall cabinets full of books - after losing, donating lot - I still have 4 cabinets full of books.. but not practical - I'd rather have a kindle with me which has all my book collection.. crazies like me tend to read a book (even from middle) just for comfort.. kindle is magic.. long battery.. amazing storage.. easy access (I bought books and downloaded them into kindle in airports).. | ||

intlo HD first bought kindle 5-6 year back.. nen real book best ani vooganu.. I read a lot.. after couple of times compromising on the mode of delivery (reading from kindle) - I am a big fan of kindle.. only downside.. I started building a library of books I love (fiction non fiction) before I came across Kindle, I used by hard backs etc to build collections.. now the library is not growing.. but libraries are not meant to be any more.. so true - thank you Douglas Adams about Hitchhiker's guide to galaxy (a palmtop device which holds all the information about universe)... sci-fi writers are visionaries.. btw: In Hitchhikers guide to galaxy (a science fictional travelogue) - earth is called "Mostly Harmless" in summary | ||

7 years kindle ikkada.....still using an older generation Kindle (3rd gen). mine does not even have a backlight, that is a big pain...am thinking of replacing my old one. Am also thinking of the Kindle Paperwhite, that should suffice.. | ||

paperwhite is really good because of the backlight. Kindle readers are great because they look like real paper and work well in all kinds of light (sunlight to darkness). Tablets dont do well in sunlight and dont give you the look of paper Also while reading in bed LCD screens are supposed to affect you but not the readers (dont know how scientific this is) | ||

Fire lo kindle app good enough anipisthundi naaku. Better touch and better navigation between chapters and whisper sync amogham.. it syncs between kindle apps installed on non amazon devices as well. | ||
