Saw a movie on the first weekend after a lost time. A well written movie with good characterisation, accomplished lead actors and fine music. The end appeared a bit forced and i do not like endings which give a lot of explanations and try to wrap things up through exposition rather than investigation and exploration. Though the lead actress did well, i thought her role did not need a lot of acting in the second half, whatever she had to do, she did fine. She just needed to run around largely. Nani did an excellent job, his performance towards the end was tear jerking. The songs were good though unlike some others i would not pass judgement on the BGM as i am not sure where Mani copied the music from. Because in one particular scene during the Kodaikanal trek race, the BGM is directly copied from a flute piece of either Jethro Tull (or was it the Corrs). So i refrain to say whether it is good or not. All in all, a good movie that could have done with a better screenplay and climax. |
