i am talking about these people only. not cops. people who were treated as untouchables, people who were forced to live outside city limits etc. 50% of the population needs reservations annadi ridiculous. I fully agree if you limit it to Dalits/Harijans/SCs .. There was a reason why that categorization was made .. and I am totally happy if we limit it to the really needy. More than 50% of population ki reservations anedaniki practical limitations unnayi. We saw that in the last 70 years. But more my concern is, the system is actually patronising a victimhood narrative in a large section of society .. totally unaccepatable to me .. in this day and age, i dont know if college admissions are really that big a deal inthaka mundu ante.. libraries, top class professors ki access kavalante you need to join the institution. And there is a limit on # of seats. but now, everyone has access to all the knowledge they want. lot of universities are offering certificate courses, online lectures. real value of the institutions is one on one discussions, networking and research projects. | ||

The Srikakulam Telaga Samkshema Sangham on Sunday asked the government to include the community in the list of Backward Classes along with Kapu, Ontari, and other castes. let u announce reservations for all castes with certain clauses in it... one of the main clause: families who r economically below poverty level are only eligible.. another clause: only 1 or 2 members for each generation etc etc... ...and stop this mess....for some it may be sensitive to look into reservations for upliftment of the community and their future generations' growth.... but there are lot of other things to achieve in the state....and in the process reduce corruption, improve /develop ecological practices in all and avoid pollution due to growth in industries, construciton of capital etc... n keep the soul of telugu nativity intact... inthakante peddhaga type cheyyadam raadhu....but this should be ideal, i guess...
