Used instead of anti-biotics to perform surgery on 83 year old..as he was allergic to anti-biotics "Doctors used ayurvedic herbs, such as Amla (Indian gooseberry), turmeric, shigru (drumstick) and guggul (gum resin), instead of antibiotics during the surgery.
