Avi typical middle class kastale. Unfortunately definition of middle class changed within America. His main point is salary stagnation. the finance literacy he is proposing is something we Indians grew up with. India lo middle class was doing that for a long time. Our fathers time lo they used to budget the salary and save little over months. Oka 20 yrs kastapadi oka illu kattukoni(with loans, provident fund etc), kids(generally 2 or 3 ) ki education cheppindhi vallu. That is some thing American middle class was not used to. Now they are forced into that mindset. I took economics with one of the research scholars mentioned in the article( A Lusardi). I read some of these studies mentioned in this article earlier. Most then were done during 2009 and 2010 right after the 2008 recession, so they have a little more shock value than usual | ||
