Caste feeling in the film industry is very real and it is quite obvious to those who look beneath the surface. Some show it blatantly while some hide it behind diplomacy. One director who does not even try to hide his caste feeling is now becoming the talk of the industry. This particular director has directed some very successful adult comedies and a horror comedy in the past. He is known to be affiliated with the compound of one major film family, which belongs to the same caste that he hails from, and he shows interest in working mainly with producers belonging to his caste only. When films of this compound’s heroes come out, he minces no words in praising them sky high, irrespective of the output of the film or of the box office reception. Even few days back, he praised a hero’s film and performance sky high, though critics panned the movie.
