I disagree. President can stop any bill. He can send it back for reconsideration by both houses and thus cause a lot of delay. If it comes back, he can do a pocket veto. In case of ordinances, he can refuse entirely and stop them. President is too big a post for him. President aithe Modi would have to wait for him and receive him as he disembarks his flight after each foreign tour and do such things on many occasions. Also, as President he would become more powerful than Gadkari and arguably more powerful than Sushma Swaraj too...they may not digest this... L K Advani is the perfect choice for the post of the President. No match in experience, and nobody can feel jealous or disappointed if he becomes more powerful than them. from BJP's point of view... as Vice-President he would be the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. He would then be able to indirectly continue his work as legislative affairs minister to push through bills...negotiate with leaders of other parties in RS to bring about a consensus...his 18 year long association with the RS would be an asset...
