u can do it using 1031 exchange. you can sell the current property and buy a new one with in 1 year to be able to use this. | ||

You should live 2 out of past years in the house. Otherwise it's treated as an investment property and have to pay capital gains. This is just my $0.02. You should check with your cpa | ||

You cannot do 1031 exchange with primary home,that applies only to investment properties. | ||

5 years total is not needed. At some point 2 years undali house lo.
