Lol. You don't need to get your panties in a twist over these petty issues. Chill. When there is a port which is less than 100km away in the north(Krishnapatnam) and when there are two more ports down south(Chennai Ennore), when there is Sriharikota, which is ISRO's main launching site, when there is Pulicat lake which is not far away from the place, do you think it is is really necessary for have a port there? Congress at centre and state was foolish to announce this new port. Thankfully BJP and TDP are not this naive to set off the project. It is scrapped unofficially. It will never take off. Ramayapatnam in Praksam district is a better location for a new port. | ||

First Its not scrapped, It one of the 4 port project's by GOI....., unnecessary...effecting environment?? not a port which is 100 km away can do... Disturbs ecology?? thats why its shifted to Tupilipalem ......its one of the 4 priority projects of GOI...take care...._|_ | ||

Dugarajapatnam port is just unnecesssary and it affects the environment, disturbs the ecological balance(pulicat lake) and there are some security issues as well as Sriharikota isn't very far. Thank god it was scrapped. | ||
