From patient POV....he only knows what is important to him and hence, he has only one option, to go for the surgery (If not so, he would not have opted in the first place) ..... and at same time is it not Doctor's duty to know what his priorities are?? there are only 2 options for a doc towards his patient... either do what patient wants, get money or think about the results, side effects and come to a conclusion of how beneficial the surgery will be and dont do....
