Assist numbers ok...but points too few for those assets and defense bad. Bigger point is trading for a 38 year old and giving him an expensive contract. He was injured very early in the season and career was over with 3 years left on the contract. | ||

I am not saying trading picks is bad...when the window is open you have to go all in. But, you have to be judicious...both Lakers and Cavs did a few bad trades in desperation. Trading for 38 year old Nash with 2 firsts and 2 seconds was a disaster...that too by protecting a pick so lightly. Ippudu late 20s lo pick laagane untundhi...window ayyipoyaka it will be a top pick. Kyrie for Wall avvadhu as both are almost same age and Wall is a superior player. Kyrie for CP3 is possible if Clippers decide to get younger and Cavs go all in for 1 or 2 seasons. Doc said many times he will consider blowing up the core if they don't win a championship this year. But, don't know which way they will go...younger or older. Blake or DeAndre for Melo will be going the other way. Getting Kyrie means they will be good for longer and they will not have to pay CP3 a disastrous contract at age 32 next year. But, know Ballmer I think they will go all in with an older star. | ||

Championship window applies to NBA as well. Spurs have been defying that by drafting very well and prolonging the careers of the players like Duncan forever. Lakers had a window with prime Gasol, Kobe, Odom etc...they were also constantly trading away picks during the window for win now bench...now look at them. Grizzles had a tiny window...thats clearly gone now. Cavs dhi the only reason they have a window is winning the lottery for 3 times in 4 years. Warriors dhi evvaro kaadhu nene cheppa..they are a contender ani before the start of season in 2014. They have a window now because of keka drafting and player development...they drafted Curry, Klay Thompson, Dramond Green and Harrison Barnes. When all of them were on rookie contracts and Curry was on a cheap contract...they had cap space to sign Iggy. Ippudu all of them will get max contracts (including Harrison Barnes)...the only way they will be able to prolong that window is by continuing to draft well. Coming to Cavs...once Lebron declines they wont come anywhere close to a championship for a long time as they have traded away most of their picks. | ||
