Surah 9 is a command to disavow all treaties with polytheists and to subjugate Jews and Christians (9.29) so that Islam may âprevail over all religionsâ (9.33). Muslims must fight, according to this final chapter of the Quran, and if they do not, then their faith is called into question and they are counted among the hypocrites (9.44-45). IMO, People lose sensitivity when they are exposed to violence and bloodshed from a very young age. Enduku cheptunna ante - Chinnappudu maa muslim neighbors Bakrid ki .. intlo unna 3-4 years pillodiki kuda chetiki kathi ichi, goat ni podavamane varu (symbolic ayyundachu, but the kid was part of the killing ceremony) .. but getting used year on year, to the shrill death cries of the goat, the stream of blood that flows after its killed etc are also contributors to the mindset which doesnt abhor seeing blood and loss of life.
