1) First fill DS-160 for both parents/in laws. Save the confirmation pages. This is very important. 2) Go to https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&countr y=India and register there by creating a profile. This is when the DS160 confirmations come handy. 3) During registration you can add spouse details. 4) You can click on schedule your appointment where it will take you to pay fees and click on axis bank (if that's convenient) and then it will generate a receipt which you need to send to India and ask them to take to bank and pay the fees. Right now it's $320 for 2 and 70 rupees is the exchange rate. 5) Once you pay the fees AXIS bank will give you a payment confirmation slip which is very important document to keep. 6) You need to wait at least 3 hours for the receipt number to be updated online. 7) Once it's there you can schedule an appointment by choosing language. 8) First you have to select Consular appointment date and then you will have to choose OFC appointment ( fingerprints, photos will be take) at the least a day before consular appointment.
