ew Delhi, March 1: The videos that were used as evidence to justify JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumarâs arrest under charges of Sedition, have been found to be doctored, reports claimed on Tuesday. Two out of the seven videos that were sent to forensic laboratories for examination, were found to be âproblematicâ and had clearly been doctored, reports accessed by India Today indicated. But what was even more shocking was that one of the two tampered videos was put on the internet by a former aide of Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani! In an exclusive investigation into the authenticity of the tapes that were widely circulated on the social media and were also used by many media channels to show Kumar as anti-national, India Today had revealed that the tapes had been tampered with. Now, the supplementary reports submitted by the Truth Labs to the Delhi government as part of the probe, have confirmed the reports. What is even more scandalising is that one of the videos in question was sourced from Shilpi Tiwari, who was the campaign manager of Smriti Irani, during the Lok Sabha elections for the Amethi constituency. The video was known to have been sourced from from a URL address âshilpitiwari.â Tiwari is an active propagandist of the Sanghi ideology on Twitter and was known to troll anyone and everyone who would crticize the Prime Minister. According to a report in Janta Ka Reporter said that Tiwari was so close to Irani that she was even given the designation of a consultant to Irani at a salary of Rs. 35,000 per month. The report has also quoted the forensic report as saying that ââabrupt changes were found in the pitch and the intensity contoursâ¦.indicating that the recording is not authentic.â However, The Indian Express has reported that three out of the seven videos that were sent by the Delhi government for probe, were found to be doctored.
