One of the epic quittings i have seen is a colleague, who one day just walked out - peacefully speaking on his mobile, not even shutting down his desktop (back in the desktop days),not clearing his desk... he had nothing to claim from the company, nothing that he needed from them or cared for either in terms of relieving letter of PF etc. That was cool, man... |

I had transitioned from a senior BA to the PM role so was also reviewing work of the BAs who were on the project on an as required basis. This desi lady was around 40+ years and not married. Work wise kooda OK. I used to review her work and give her my comments. Typical gaa "good job/nicely done" ani oka rendu positive words rastanu emails lo. Okanoka sandarbham lo oka user story vishayam lo we had a disagreement. I made some suggestions but she refused my recommendations and submitted her own version on a customer meeting. Her user story was rejected. She started blaming me that I did not guide her while I immediately produced my email with recommended changes. With her back against the wall, she said I was ill treating her since she was a woman. I left the meeting and escalated her to the HR. Picha moham di "see I have his recording" ani andanta. Ee thread inka nadustunda? Ok let me share my coworker's experience in my present workplace. One of the Dev teams ki last year oka mgr ni hire chesukunnaaru. Candi impressed his boss(director) pretty good with his technical skills. Both of them are whites. Athani kinda 4 devs unnaaru. But none of them had good rapport with him. One of them is a telugu girl who is very good technically. Vaallu cheppadam, chala harass chesthaadu, lync lo time ekkuva spend cheyoddu, doc appt ni sick day ga consider cheyadam , edaina 1 or 2 hrs permission adigithe after work hr compensate cheyamanadam etc chesevaadanta. Literally strict officer annattu. Akkada daaka ok, but apparently he was being too sarcastic in team meetings with his subordinates and humiliating them. athanu join ayina 2 months ki oka white dev quit chesaadu. This telugu girl suffered enough for 4 months and finally chose to quit. Manchi opp raagaane 2 weeks notice ichindi. Exit interview lo HR ki full verbal and written explanation ichindanta....reason for resignation. Clear cut ga ye roju ela torture pettaado events tho saha mention chesindanta. Then when she was asked if she would like to come back to the company, apparently she said she would love to report to anybody but him. Then 2 weeks after she left, this mgr guy was fired on a friday morning. Tarvatha maaku telisindi HR ki already vere emps nunchi complaints vellaayi ani, and that this girl's exit interview was final nail ani.. So ilanti mgrs ni expose cheyadam calla complain xhesina vaallaki emi podu, aa mgr ye radar lo padataadu. Also, last month pos open aithe HR contacted that girl again on the director's recommendation, but that girl is happy at her new place, anyways. The One and Only Veturi |

whether you like it or not. this is happening. so we have to live with it. and again most of the time social media profiling is to know more about you and just because you criticize modi or trump or obama your employer may not fire you or prevent them from hiring you . but if your views are completely opposit to what your company is doing for example if you work for a pharma company and comment against the pharma companies charging exorbitant prices for life saving drugs then you will have a greater chance of getting sacked. |
