Please advise this for a single guy

Do you want work around the year or only work for 9-10 months and chill out the remaining? If former is the case, only then freelancing is preferred. Otherwise, it's not even a comparison.

Total compensation comparison cheyali ante, use this formula.

Per/hr rate*2000*1.3 > FT salary. Appude freelancing preferable. Otherwise FT.

1.3 times enduku ante, employer paid benefits like PTOs, 401k, bonus, HSA etc add up to at least 30% of your annual salary.

Maviz...85K plus benefits in FT job is like $55 an hour...so comparing to $40 contract does not make any sense!!

asala ademi question...

FTE lo nuvvu oka salary lo join ithe tarvatha peddaga perigei emi vundadu....ade consulting lo ithe temporary ga takkuva billing vunna, tarvatha vere daniki move ithe peruguthuni...also if u dont like the client, u can change job easily. FTE lo job changing antha vesy kaadu...unless u r going for another FTE...

having said that, try hard and get 95k-100k or above salary in FTE (bouns, 401k, holidas etc separate)....that is better than even 70$-75$ billing.

FT best if they do H1 and GC
