Correct. You pay 12.4% SS (6.2x2), 2.9$ medicare (1.45x2), State tax (if you have one), local tax and Fed tax. Say you are in 28% marginal tax bracket: Fed tax: 28% - 33% State: 0-~10% Local: ? SS: 12.4 Medicare: 2.9 Uber: 20% Minimum: ~ 53.3% Of course, you get to deduct expenses or miles from your fed taxes, but not from FICA taxes. Not sure about local and state taxes though. | ||
