They don't like the caste system or Hinduism for that matter and caste system has its strongest roots in villages. The communism's solution to eradicating all inequalities is driving everyone to towns and cities and turn them into industrial laborers so everyone is a working class. Villages, in contrast, have lower populations but many class divisions. Is there a systemic attempt to weaken Hinduism by killing agriculture ? If you look at the central government policies in the past 70 years most of which was filled with communist ideologues and sympathizers even if they carry the name congress, you can see that they never attempt to solve the irrigation water problem or electricity problem nation wide. Dams would solve both these problems so the first thing they should have done after independence was make sure every state had abundant number of dams that can solve water and electricity problems. But states have to fight tooth and nail to get an irrigation project approved and jump through a 100 hoops. Is there a hidden agenda by congress/left to destroy villages and turn India into an industrial nation instead of agricultural nation ? They literally made the farmer's life unbearable in India. No water No electricity No roads No practical law and order No infrastructure No proper road connectivity for the longest time Is this how a free country would plan for where it's largest population lives ? In any other country if farmer suicides are going on at this rate they would have declared an emergency situation and looked at their problems They are the victims of the system but nobody cares about them. They have to sell their crops at government decided rates and they have to sell to rice mills which are run by syndicates. Jayaprakash Narayan once quoted someone saying "Even if the government planned to systemically destroy agriculture in India, it could not have done a worse job" Or Did it ? |
