Read back the old recent term life threads on this forum.. I have given MANY off my recent 4 term life policies (for me, my souse, for a friend and friend's souse). I gave a key tip on how to get the best health rating if you are in the border line. Can someone post those old threads links here to help our OP? |

Thanks for your life insurance request. I condensed my 16 years of experience into this Buyer's Guide and hope you find it useful. Being an independent agent, I work for you, not the insurance companies. My firm specializes in life insurance only. What We Offer: No consulting fees, No Nonsense life insurance advice, Access to all A rated companies in your state. Thanks Murali! 90% people looking for life insurance are quoted incorrect rates. There are normally 14 different underwriting classes. Are you sure you know which one you qualify for? We give you the lowest quote for the underwriting class you qualify for. Normally agents or websites quote people the best prices that only 10% of the population qualifies for. The Top 5 Factors when choosing the right life insurance company for you: 1. Cost - Is the cost acceptable to you? 2. Company - Financial Ratings with AM Best, S&Ps, Moody's. 3. Reputation - Do they have major complaints? 4. Underwriting - How the different styles and niches effect your rate. Are they fast, slow, tedious, more reasonable. 5. Term vs Permanent - Which kind of policy makes sense and why. The Top 5 Mistakes when applying for life insurance are: 1. You are quoted rates that 10% of the applicants actually are approved for and expect to get it. 2. Making the wrong decision whether you go through a physical or not. 3. Unaware of what you purchased and how it works. 4. Choosing a company that is not right for your situation. 5. Not understanding the underwriting niche of the life insurance company. 3 companies that rate the financial strength of life insurance companies: Ambest, Moodys, Standard and Poor's. 3 companies that regulate life insurance companies: NAIC, NCIG, and NOLHGA A Quick Look At Life Insurance Products. Term Life- It is guaranteed for a term from 1 to 30 years. Return of premium term returns the premiums at the end of the term. Whole Life - One kind of permanent life insurance that guarantees cash value and premiums till age 120. Universal Life - Does not guarantee cash value, but does guarantee premiums till age 120. It can also give you a chance to invest in indexes such as SP 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq. Companies To Avoid: Globe Life, Ohio National, AARP, New York Life. We offer their products and they are good companies, but I feel there are other better options most of the time. They normally are a hassle to work with and the underwriting is very difficult to obtain good rates. A Couple Life Insurance Company Highlights: Banner Life -Streamlined application process, , A+ rated, Smaller company, but underwriting is more difficult. American National - All around great company. Offers good no exam policies up to 250k. Good selection of products. American General - Excellent all around, Reasonable underwriting, Good for high cholesterol and for certain health conditions. Protective Life - Larger company, A+ rating, faster underwriting. Pacific Life - All around great company, Good for family history, but will take a long time to underwrite. Prudential - Tougher underwriting but A+ rated, Good for family history, well known company. Transamerica - Family history underwriting is superb and is A+ rated. Cincinnati Life - Smaller company that is the best in customer service. Rates and underwriting are good. Mutual of Omaha - Well known company, Good for family history, Excellent all around. Principal - No exam to 1 million, but you need to be in excellent health. They will request an exam if you health is not perfect. Metlife - Good name recognition and large company. Underwriting is tougher. North American - Slower underwriting, but good rates. Lincoln Financial - Slow underwriting, but well known company. ING - Good for family history. Rates are above average. AXA Equitable - Large well known company. Sagicor Life - Good for no exam policies if you have no health conditions up to 400k. More difficult to work with. |
