through out History Europe was a tumultuous place - infact this period after 2nd world war might be one of the most peaceful times. the area was always under conflict, either due to the barbarian invasions before 12th century Rennaisance, then the crusades, and later the "little ice age" preceded by black death, 100 years war, polish wars, mongol wars against russians, byzantine wars, ottomon wars.. infact i am inclinded to say until vaso da gama found routes india and africa, they were constant internal stuggles and after these routes were established, they gained considerable economic strength and stability | ||

i feel that all these refugee crisis is a repeat of what has happend before the crusade history - although the muslim were under a much more politically stable environment back then, the immigration of turks westward, and as the treatment of christian churces and christian traders were under constant attacks, Pope started military action against muslims. ISIS and the various militants who believe they are forming a caliphate, seem to be going the same route of entering Europe, occupy the land. | ||
