On the other than, you can ignore Android Studio altogether and use IntelliJ Idea for everything. Android Development with Gradle, Ant, Maven build support comes automatically. However, Idea Community Edition is limited to Java and Android Development only. If you want Web Enterprise specific facets support, you will need Idea Ultimate Edition which is paid software. Android Studio is IntelliJ based Flavored IDE. I have never tried what you are asking, but my best guess. Yes, you can do Web Services and Web Enterprise Development with Android Studio also. can i use Android studio for developing web services and deploying to tomcat? I can use Eclipse IDE separately but trying to stay away from running 2 IDEs, tomcat and emulator. my bujji lappy might not be able to take it please advise |
