tejas trainer endi??? Tejas is a defensive aircraft which fits into the role Mig 21 It lies in btw the likes of Mig 21 and MMRCA i.e Rafale Tejas ki trainers untai anthey kani tejas trainer kaadu. Avionics, Ecm Suite, FBW, Weapons system, Fuselage anni Indian developed ee... Radar, Engine and Little chunks of s/w is from other countries... China with all those limitless spending couldnt Develop a decent engine they are using Russians... atleast India tried Kaveri... It produced 80 KN thrust which is not going to work for IAF.... That is why they stopped developing it... and started a new project that is K10.... they will be using Kaveri in Aura as the recent reports are suggesting... Thats around 1.5 billion USD compared to spending 4.5 billion usd on 36 Rafale. Apples Vs Oranges comparison but India is taking baby steps and successful induction of tejas even with delays will only augur well for us. For all the faults of govt. PSUs having the worlds fastest cruise missile BrahMos is something to be proud off. BrahMos is unique in that it’s the fastest cruise missile in the world that is currently deployed in any military. And BrahMos-II will be unique in that it will be the fastest hypersonic cruise missile in existence when it’s deployed.
