Every time I change my phone, I compare best android phones to iphones and never ones was I convinced that iphone is better. Neither in specs nor in value for money. Only thing better with iphone is that it has very smooth UI which top end android phones have too but not low end android phones. I increasingly see a trend of people moving away from Iphone. The ability of Iphone, oxymoronically, to sell a mass-market luxury product is slowly coming to an end. A glimpse of that is visible in its recent stock performance. I have seen umpteen number of people give up their Iphones to get a more differentiated experience and stand out from the herd/ hordes. One plus, Moto G, Nexus, Xiaomi and a bunch of others are finding increasing acceptance. I have a couple of ipads at home and couple of Androids. I don't see a noticeable difference between a IoS and a native Android device in terms of user experience. However the sheer convenience of an android device is so freakingly good - ability to copy files seamlessly, the browsing experience etc. Ipad lo oka pdf chadavalante, to download a document that i got over mail, to copy movies is a nightmare. Thanks for all the suggestions. I have just now realized I have an unused iPad Air 2 lying somewhere on the attic. Will power it up and try to use for some time - and check if my requirements are met by iOS (Except the battery life of course - for that I need an iPhone) Two things I almost never do. 1. Copying files to the mobile from desktop or vice versa. 2. Copy paste content on the phone. And things I always do: 1. Microsoft Outlook for work email 2. Skype for Business for work IM, Skype Consumer for international calls 3. Google Play Movies, Play Music, Youtube, Netflix 4. Feedly, WhatsApp, Slack, Flipkart, Amazon 5. Facebook and Facebook Messenger through web interface. I also use Google Hangouts a lot. This may be a potential problem on iOS. Will keep you posted once my iPad charges up. Moved to iOS in September. Regretting that decision now. Once I see something i like, I will move back to Android. Tolerated a lot of stuff, but the complexity of moving files to iPhone is a big deal breaker for me. I want to 'move' my video files from external disk to phone without adding them to iTunes library. I am thinking of moving to iOS from Android. Been a long time Android user and have a lot of investment in Google ecosystem. Reasons for moving to iOS? Quality and battery life. Now I have some specific questions. 1. Will I be able to chromecast from Youtube app/ Google Play Movies / Netflix? 2. Will Google Photos auto upload photos to my Google account? Or do I need to keep the Google Photos app open to upload the photos? 3. Is Google Inbox available on iOS? 4. Is the battery life of 6S Plus good enough to last a typical day - with normal usage? 5.
