Eating beef - that's individuals freedom of choice. Jallikattu - a tradition followed by a community, and they are respectably treating the animals. As far as I know, many Hindus eat beef. It's not anti-Hindu. It is anti-Bramhin and against few of the upper castes. Don't be in a box, and think that what few upper castes follow is uniform across religion. Why shld I bash foreign NGOs? Jallikattu is happening anyhow, and that's real. I know u r being sarcastic but I have a serious answer..... Forget abt NRIs or Indians. There are people who are not even citizens who are advocating these sectarian laws. 1. MIT/Univ of Chicago etc., consulted in amendments of RTE http://ccs.in/sites/default/files/research-rte20-summary.pdf 2. Billion-dollar Christian NGOs like World Vision(which gets funding from US Govt), Oxfam, Action Aid(both receive funding from UK govt) etc., These are all foreign funded(& funded by foreign govts). These NGOs(along with some Hindu dhimmis) are at the forefront of harassing Hindu schools i.e, enforcing these sectarian laws. In their home countries(US, UK), u don't find such blatant sectarian laws. You don't find laws that apply to only Christians but does not apply to Muslims, Jews etc., Foreign & Christian NGOs are at the forefront of this harassment(The law doesn't apply to Christians-owned schools) | ||

Ok. Let us talk this way Jagan as a Chrsitian has different rules to follow than his Hindu supporters Pulpfiction/Kaisersooze. How does that sound? Jagan can open a chain of schools and he doesn;t need NOC from sarkari babus, RTE doesn't apply to him even if his schools are funded by AP Govt. Jagan can open medical colleges freely without sarkari babus interfering but Pulp/Kaiser will have to pay huuuuge if they want to do the same thing. Even if Land Acquistion law passes, Jagan can get better deal for his land if Jagan uses Article 30(1)(A). Pulp/kaiser will get same chippa as any other Hindu | ||

Another example of Indian "secularism" in action. Right to Education doesn't apply to CHristian/Muslim-managed schools in toto. But here you see a Muslim education officer enforcing the law on a Hindu-managed school. Now the question is - why does a majority guy fake minority status in a "secular" state? |
