Houseful, Arjun 70 mm, Kukatpally. 2:30 pm show. Nenu Sailaja shows how one can make a successful move despite the usual romantic movie tropes, by adding the right dose of honesty in film making and being true to the emotions of the characters. There is nothing here that has not been seen before. But still the movie appears fresh. Therein lies a lesson for directors trying to appear different, don't try too hard. The songs are mediocre, the lead actress saturnine, the story is a melange of movies we have all seen. But the director infuses some realism and naturality to the proceedings that makes it easy on the eye and relatable by the audiences. The movie is a clean family entertainer. Ram was brilliant in the movie and we would love to see more of him. And less of Keerthi. In fact Ram's sister and Keerthi's friend Dhanya are prettier and act better than the heroine. The editing and BGM are standouts. DSP covered up the mediocre music by the excellent BGM. It is a pity that the movie which was running houseful even in weekday afternoons would have to be pulled out due to the upcoming movies. |
